PERFECTIONISM

What is perfectionism? According to a very quick Google search, perfectionism is “a propensity for being displeased with anything that is not perfect or does not meet extremely high standards”. I am, unfortunately, a perfectionist.

I can tell you that being a perfectionist is absolutely exhausting. It’s a huge pain in the behind for not only the perfectionist themselves, but also the people surrounding them. Perfectionists have to make sure that everything and anything around them is completely and utterly perfect. For example, if a perfectionist were to clean, the area would have to be SPOTLESS. No dust, no dirt. Just clean, clean, clean.

You can see how difficult this is seeing as dust particles cannot be seen with the naked eye. However, perfectionist will convince themselves that they can see every single atom floating around. Or they convince themselves that the colourings on their art work are completely out of the lines. This is mind-numbingly annoying! You have no idea how many times I have to clean my room and do my homework. My current record is 7 and 9 times respectively. Let that sink in.

If there were to be a lesson from this blog post, it would be to perfectionists. Calm down. Your room is clean and your homework is well done. Take it easy and don’t drive yourself nuts. To people who know and have to deal with perfectionists, be patient. You’re going to have to be.

what/who inspires me

WHAT/WHO INSPIRES ME?

poems about best friends

Best Friends means different things to different people. Some insist that you can have only one best friend. Others assert that they have best friends for different aspects of their personalities. Whatever the precise definition, your best friend is the person who gets you. They understand who you are and what you are saying. The greatest distance cannot separate best friends. You will always feel a kinship with them, and be able to instantly continue the friendship even after not talking for many years.

Who Inspires Me

Who inspires me? Well footballers inspire me to continue to strive and seek my dream of one day playing for a club. My parents inspire me to pursue my dream and actually achieve it. I get inspired by a lot of people in my life. Parents, footballers, Marathon runners etc. I want to one day become one of these people who inspire me. Who inspires me? school inspires me to finish it and get a degree. Friends inspire me to help others by helping me. Everyone around me inspires me because everyday on earth is a good day.

Who inspires me?

To me, Success and Failure are the two sides of same coin. The person who helps us to solve our failures becomes our greatest inspiration. My parents are my biggest inspiration for me, particularly my Mom. I am very much inspired by my mother because she is a hard worker, she always thinks in a positive manner. She always says to me that never hurt anyone in your life, love everyone. She always advises me to follow the right path whatsoever. She always says that be self confident in every task.

The end :)

who inspires me ?

The person who inspires me the most is my best friend from

primary school. Her name is Yek Zong Ern. She will get at least 90

marks in every test ,but most of the test she will get 100 marks .

But every time my average marks are only 85%. every time after

test I will tell myself to work harder, and one day I will reach my

target . Sometimes if I can't understand or answer she will teach

me and she will tell me the format or solution  .

WHAT INSPIRES ME?

Inspiration is defined as “something that makes someone want to do something or that gives someone an idea about what to do or create”. Previously, I hadn’t thought that I even had an inspiration. Thinking about this topic now, I realize that everyone has an inspiration, whether they realize it or not. Even if you don’t want to have an inspiration, at some point in your life, you’ve had one or you will.

My inspiration is books. Be it fictional or non-fictional, books are my inspiration. I’m aware that I sound like a massive nerd, but it’s true. Since a young age, I have turned to books to “solve” my problems. Surely Harry Potter who defeated Lord Voldemort could help me pass my Math test! This, as I unfortunately found out not long after, was not true.
However, this didn’t solve me from inhaling stories as quickly and easily as I would oxygen. Books have inspired me to be the person I am today. I aim to be as witty as Alaska Young, as intelligent as Hermione Granger (if that’s even possible), as deadly as Katniss Everdeen and as confident as Jace Wayland.
These sheets of paper have taught me so much and helped me grow as a person. It might seem trivial to you, but those printed words have changed me. I’m hoping they’ve changed me for the better. If there is something I love in the world, it’s books and I am not ashamed to admit it.
To those of you who have been reading this is in horror, I apologize for my nerdiness. However, I urge to read a book. And I mean really try. Begin with an open mind and read every word till the end. You might be surprised with how you feel at the end of that book.

The one who inspires me is Sean AKA Jacksepticeye, he inspired me to become a youtuber because becoming a youtuber not only could earn money just by doing videos, but you still will get to know more youtubers and make friends. Even though Jack's videos has a lot of swear words, I still appreciate him responding to his suscribers and be grateful for his suscribers.

BOYS CAN'T CRY

Men have been (and sometimes still are) seen as the stronger and better sex. They are tough, unyielding and brave. All men are charming and witty. If you’re a man who isn’t these things, surely you are wrong about your gender. The idea that a man isn’t stronger and braver than a woman is ridiculous to even consider!

At least that’s what people with a mind the size of a pea claim.
There has always been this stereotype that males cannot and should not cry because it is seen as a weakness. Only girls cry. And if you’re a male, surely you don’t want to be seen as a girl! Oh, the horror!
On a more serious note, this stereotype pisses me off to no end. Boys are allowed to cry. Crying is normal. It’s healthy even! Tears are a physical way of letting your emotions flow freely. To stop doing that NORMAL HUMAN THING because of the fear of being seen as weak, is incredibly dumb. I find it extremely unfair that girls can cry however boys cannot.
If a girl cries, it’s okay. She’s just having a bad day and someone should comfort her. On the other hand if a boy cries, all hell breaks loose. Suddenly he is no longer a male. He’s being such a baby, such a wuss, such a girl
I am here to tell you that that is totally untrue. Crying is normal. Everyone cries (yes, even males). Therefore, my simple solution is that people should get their heads out of the 15th century and understand that to cry is not the same as getting a sex change. It just means you’re human.

BEE HONEST

SIS is by far the best school I have ever been to. Students here are from a number of different countries and religions. We are truly an international school. Russia, Turkmenistan, Japan, Korea, Maldives, China, Venezuela and of course, Malaysia, are just some of the countries that students are from.

SIS has organized countless activities for its students, teachers as well as staff. Some examples include our annual International Understanding Days, movie nights, positivity week, sports month and many more fun events. Every event is planned down to the last detail so it can go as smoothly as it possibly can. We work together with the many clubs and societies here at the school to ensure that these events are fun for everyone and still educational. These are just some of the wonderful things that our school does.
Despite these good things, SIS is not perfect. Something that SIS could improve on would be its facilities. We have a great gym and excellent classrooms, but we are lacking in a few things. For example, a field. It would be a lot more convenient if SIS had a field that could be used for things such as P.E lessons and sports events. at the moment, we have to go over to places like Monash and rent out areas which takes time and a lot of planning. If we had a field, it would be tenfold easier to organize activities.
Another thing that we need is a bigger library. The one we have is cozy and very nice to be in, however it is quite small. I don’t think it’s enough to support the many students at SIS. If the library was expanded, it could be so much better. We could stock up on more and better books that the students can use to read and/or do research. More students would visit the library to do homework as there would be a lot more space for a large number of students.
SIS is amazing right now, but it has the potential to be so much better. I know that with time, effort and perseverance we can be one of the best schools in the country.

STEREOTYPES

Stereotypes have been present in society for a very long time. There are stereotypes about nearly everything in our world. From genders to nations, we can always find at least one stereotype about that issue.

First off, what is a stereotype? Basically, a stereotype is a per-conceived idea about something or a group of people that isn’t necessarily true. An example of a stereotype is “blonde girls are dumb”. I’m sure there are some blonde girls out there who are dumb, however not all of them are. This is untrue, yet it shows up in society so often because people have that per-conceived idea.

More serious stereotypes would be gender and race ones. For example, “boys can’t cry”, “girls like shopping” and “black people are all criminals”. These are utterly untrue and quite frankly, they’re ridiculous. A boy can cry, tons of girls hate shopping and criminals come from all kinds of ethnic backgrounds.

You might think that stereotypes aren’t a big problem in our world. You would be wrong. People are made fun of everyday for challenging and/or reversing these stereotypes. They’re seen as weird, different and outcasts. On a global scale, stereotypes affect the law, politics and so many other things. Black people are wrongfully arrested far more than white people are. This is because police officers and witnessed have stereotypes. People think that if a black man is parked outside of a grocery store, he’s going to rob it, but if a white man does that exact same thing, he’s only waiting for someone.

We must get rid of negative stereotypes such as those mentioned above. They are a nuisance and they are stupid. As a society, we must work together to make out thoughts as positive as possible be it about gender issues, racial issues or anything else.
